Pallet Blocks also known as chip blocks are condensed wood blocks made of saw dust and wood chips. The material is compressed under extreme heat and pressure to form a uniform block. Chip blocks come in standard sizes – 75 x 75 x 75 mm, 90 x 90 x 75 mm and 100 x 100 x 75 mm and are ready for installation thereby reducing processing cost and wastages. If the focus is on mass production then using chip blocks can increase efficiency drastically. In addition to this Chip Blocks are enviornement friendly and are also exempted from treatment under the ISPM 15 regulations. Also, they come with standard moisture of 8-10% and therefore do not require any processing for drying. Pallets made from these blocks are stronger since the nails have greater withdrawl power when nailed in chip blocks than ordinary wooden blocks.
Advantages of using Chip Blocks
- Ready for Installation
- High Efficiency during production
- No re-sizing is required therefore no wastage
- The moisuture content remains stable and additional treatment to dissipate moisture is not required.
- Enviornmental friendly
- Exempted from ISPM 15 compliance since they are made from derived wooden products
- Stronger pallets
Chip blocks supplied by us are low in formaldehyde emmissions and have been designed in order to maximize compressive strength and nail withdrawl capacity. For Chip Blocks compressive strength and nail withdrawl capacity is proportional to its density.
