While packing a lot of loose material, loading, handling and unloading are three important considerations. One of our clients ships around 20 containers of loose material each month. The packing is done in an area where there is limited space to park containers so it is important to load all the available material ASAP and ship it out or else the deliveries start to fail. We developed a scheme in which most of the loose material was palletized on really big pallets and then placed in open top containers. This reduced the time required to park the containers and therefore the same operation could be done much faster and in less space.
